Post count mean nothing, you get post counts when you report those spammers heck you get post count posting a deleted post.

PS: responding to your post about my post count increased my post count

I don't think going to a A9 would have made a difference concerning a a bad battery or poor charging protocall. Hopefully someone gets a good deal on a slightly used DX-8 and JJ gets a radio he is confident in.

I have build myself a RC room in my basement and also have my laptop in there as well, I am able to do many things at once. A small tour of my rc room can be view here. Not yet completed and not all of my rc stuff is there yet.

Does that A9 have trimmer buttons similar to the LF&RT trimmer buttons on the DX8? It if does can you have them programmed so they change the value of mixes?

Example: would be adjusting you flap position for X for land but then using the trim button adjust X+1+2+3 extra.

Yes. It has LT, RT and CT buttons which can be programmed to change the value of mixes.

I held the new DX18 at the WRAM show. Nice radio. Feels like a DX8 with more functions and LH and RH sliders.

I held it side be side with the JR 11X. The JR felt cheap and the plastic looked a little cheap to me compared to the DX8 and DX18.

There's that feature and another one that I was looking into and after confirming that my Dx8 can't do it, the DX18 was looking more and more like a possible option but considering the price. Well if the A9 can do these things I am looking for it might be worth taking a more serious look at it.

Keeping my options open.

I can't believe they kept the input roller on the DX18.

Retrofit for the DX8 please! It's really hard to use, harder than the DX6i.

I'm clearly missing something. I'm talking about the DX8 transmitter that retails for $349 and Redrockethobbies sold me for $269!

What am I missing?

Can you really notice the difference in resolution in the sticks between a something like a dx6i and the aurora 9 or dx8 for things like 3d and precision flying?

Redrocket also sells the DX8 for $430 linked below. These are the best prices I've found.

$430 for DX8, TM1000 and AR8000
$280 for Aurora 9, Optima 7 (free) with voltage telemetry built into all receivers

Can't say myself for the 3D & precision flying but having a co-worker come over the other day and having both radios DX6i & DX8 on the bench he felt the difference right away in the stick without me even saying anything.

After switching one model from DX6i to DX8 that had digital servos all around I could feel a difference just from switching the radio. My decision to upgrade from Dx6i to Dx8 was well worth it for me.
