In fact I think this is exactly the right time to develop and market the 747! There are so many people in the drone business that they have opened the market for true models!

So go for it Ming!! But dont stop the 737 please

Ming needs to make some cash and quads are the way to go while they are still hot.
I would love to have a 747 as well but the number of sales will not come near even the 737 due to complexity and cost.
BTW, I happen to think quads are flying models and have one "fully loaded".
Tools are in my tool box and shed.
Cheers

What scale quad do you know of that is operating? We build "models" of scale or real aircraft.

I don't mean to belittle quads, only stating a fact. I also think they are cool and appreciate all that goes into one, but to categorize them as a model is not correct IMHO.

Enjoy!
There are plenty of models not made after any full size design and are still "models".

Besides, it looks like quadcopters have existed much longer than you might think based on this 1923 image.

Now 4stripes has a point.. If that pictured "drone" came out as a model of vintage depiction... I might splurge.! Still no plane !
