87 amps vs 162 amps ??

5s lipo, kv 1915, (DownUnders) 6x10 prop vs 7x10 prop

Should it really be such a difference ?


The rpm and voltage is the same, OK, so I have to lower the voltage manually, but still get like 140-150 amps on the 7x10 prop.. hmm ??

We are finding that some of the numbers are off no doubt Sebbe,but the big thing is that guys that know how fast there plane is,the MPH is coming out soooooooo close,so in effect,this is a good calc if you want to bang in some simple numbers to find out speed for future setups,or setups you have not got speed readings on,is that not what most sport pylon guys are looking for ? I for one found that this calc was within 3 to 4 mph of planes that i have,that is not to shabby.

How has he got the speed so close? Is the calc designed around slippery airframes?

I think the numbers are pitchspeed on prop, which means that very slippery airframes get close to those numbers..

so i played with it a bit the speed is a bit off said i get 159mph when i only get 124mph

That is what i was getting,MPH right on (a swing of 3 is nothing),with all amps being on the low side.

It's rounding up 4.47 to 4.8 pitch and dia..Looks like the figures I get though. (And pls make it possible to change pounds to metric)
