The full size is supposed to be at prime AoA on take off at 20 degrees but actually takes of at less. The tail has a wheel fitted just in case !! not only for take-off but for landing as well......... BA reports that it has never been in contact with runway in all scheduled flights.
My EDF's are actually quite low and I am in danger of scraping them on the ground IF I lift the nose too far... but so far she's managed to leave the ground before it's actually happened.
I do have scrapes on bottom of the nacelles from landings though.
My next project is the TU 144 .. this will be Pusher props .. similar size to my Concorde (1200mm LOA, 600mm span) ..
The prop problems will be there .. but we hope the power will be such that she will 'rocket' down the runway !!
Power is initially to be twin :
Floater-Jet Replacement Motor (AXN-2208-2150)
Max Watts: 180w
Max Amps: 20A
Max Volts: 11.1 (3s)
Magnet type: N45SH
Idle Current: 1.52A
Suggested Prop: 5x5 / 6x4
using 5x5 or 5.5 x 5.5 props ... on 3S but with 4.75 xx 4.75 I could likely go 4S..
my twin 3200kv motors of my twin Parkjet .. with 4.1 x 4.1 props and 4S ..

Only trouble is I'm stuck in Crimea .. Visa running out .. no way to travel out .. so have no idea when I will get back home again ...

I love your Concorde series and how it flies, great stuff.
OK, on everything else you confirm what I've found so far. At least I don't have to figure the take off landing part :-)
And yes it always seems like I need more speed, but I can't get it (no motor) so the solution is more weight, but so far it hasn't been great success.
Yes so it looks like I won't be taking the challenge of a Concorde as a sloper Dommage!
