FYI for anyone interested, the R6014FS needs the high impedance approach. I just received the rssi buffer from DPCAV and it works great as long as you use input 1 that is labeled as

"This input is for Thomas Scherrer’s UHF based “LRS” R/C receiver or similar
models that have high RSSI impedances. It has a low pass filter for reducing
noise."

I tried on input 2 first but the reading jumped around erratically just as if there was no buffer installed.

It was connected to the ADC2 pad on Osd,

For the wires, one is connected to the RSSI pin of the chip, and the other is a ground.

Second wire is ground.

I think you can do it but maybe need RSSI buffer http://www.dpcav.com/xcart/product.p...0&cat=0&page=1 or DIY http://www.fpv-community.com/forum/s...ad.php?tid=363 because RF chip may be not able to provide enough current.

I need help.

I was testing the IC pins of my Hitec RCD9600 to look for the RSSI pin.
I found three pins which vary when the TX is switched on and off.

Pin 1 -> 0.69V to 1.3V
Pin 2 -> 0.18V
Pin 3 -> 0.3V
Pin 4 -> 0.19V
Pin 5 -> 0.19V
Pin 6 -> 0.4V
Pin 7 -> 0.16V to 0.85V
Pin 8 -> 0V
Pin 9 -> 0.68V to 1.3V
Pin 10 -> 0.24V
Pin 11 -> 0.18V
Pin 12 -> 0.24V
Pin 13 -> 0.31V
Pin 14 -> 0.4V
Pin 15 -> 0.24V
Pin 16 -> 3.59V

So I chose pin 7 as the RSSI (Dunno if that's correct)
Then I made the soldering connections.
RSSI is read by RMILEC $10 OSD.

When I connect the power to the RX, the ESC keeps beeping.
I found the culprit is the RSSI signal cable. When I disconnect the cable the ESC boots up fine.

I thought the RSSI needs an impedance, so I added 1000 ohm resistor in series. Seems like its not enough or I'm doing something wrong.

Marking on the chip is

OK I found the datasheet, but it doesn't say which pin is RSSI.

4015 is the channels decoder (shift register), not the needed chip.
My guess is that what you want is on the vertical board, 3rd picture.
See other Hitec receivers in this thread, all are using same chip.

This receiver is using the ML2724DH transceiver, featuring analog RSSI on pin 28.
The RSSI output is buffered, and voltage swing is between 75mv (no signal) - and clipped to 1.9V at –15dBm.
The pin is the not connected one from the picture.

I have a very similar Hitec rx. And the chip is on the middle board. So much stuff is in the way, you can't even see the leg needed.
