Jonas, Did you ever start grinding out the slot at the factory? it seems like a special grinding tool could be formed perfectly and the angle controlled to within 1/2 degree if done at the factory? I used a dremel and file to trim my slot out.IT was not as perfect as I would like to have achieved.
Do you suggest a few wraps of kevlar string just in front of the slot on the boom?

The slot has never been grinded from factory on the Polaris.
No need to wrap a kevlarstring since there are some fabric orientated 90 degrees already. None of the Polaris or Sirius (same fuse) used by the Swedes the last 5 years, has beed wrapped with tow in front of the fin. Save the weight instead....
