Wow... who make the GLB receiver ?! Never heard about it in Frsky portfolio !
So we have third party compatibles
This could be called "becoming mainframe" or a standard.

Imo, it is bigger than a D4R, unless those pins are for one of the micro servo standards And who need all those pins if we want a PPM only receiver ?!

Don't know who makes it but fw was almost certainly taken from here without any asking or acknowledgment
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ighlight=FrSky

Note no telemetry YET, only one antenna and range likely to be similar to vd5m so 300m.

Buy the adapter I designed years ago and is sold now by Flytron:

You can find the starting idea pictures in this thread or my attachments.

If you do buy it be careful with handling. Pins weren't too secure on the 2 I had.
I trashed them

Regarding the comments below here is a quote from the link.....You can attach it to your Tx or module with double sided foam tape for easily plug or remove from other side.

I think "or module" is in line with what Renatoa indicated but "to your tx" is where there could be a problem.

The intended usage was to mount the adapter on the futaba module with double adhesive tape for the whole life, and use them as an equivalent JR module. The JR plug on adapter is of good quality, imo.
If you want to use the Futaba module in other Futaba radio too, and repeatedly disconnect from adapter each time when you switch, indeed they are not designed for such stress.

Data terminal display

HI ALL,
I have come to this party very late!!, I have bought a DFT xmt module for my Futaba t9cp tx combined with a D8R-11 plus rx.
have bound it o/k , made up an rs232 lead to a real rs 232 port on my old computer(windows 7). I can run the "Istvan Magi" software that reads out rss
and sets alarm thresholds etc. so I have confidence in the lead and the computer com port.
However when I run Terra term to see the data I do not get anything that looks like the expected protocol i.e.0x7e oxfe/0xfd. Is Terra term
suitable program to display user data? Any idea.s please.

Henry

You're probably well aware of this and I'm not sure if Terra Term does it but you need a comms program that has the option to display raw hex bytes, rather than ascii characters. So a received byte of 0x7e will display as 7E rather than the ascii tilde which has the code 0x7e. I think you probably already know this, sorry!

Cheers
Phil

Thanks for your reply, yes I did see some tilde characters. You have confirmed what I suspected.
Somebody must have an application somewhere buried in this Mega
long thread that will correctly display the o/p.
Blimey is that the time, need to get some sleep.
Hopefully some body will be able to give me a link or post that will do the job.

I've used this one for serial hex data.
