Do you still fly with the OEM prop on the Sukhoi? Or have you upgraded to a 5030/5043? I think with a 5043 on that PoleCat it might cover some ground pretty quick.
all my UM planes are stock apart from the batteries i use and yes i did mention the Sukhoi seemed faster and i wondered if the Pole Cat motor would loosen up a bit with use

still flys very nice and has a good turn of speed for a PZ UM, it can only get better

cheers chuck

Thanks Seth and ICU for the info. I've definitely got my eye on the Pole Cat. Looks very nice.

Got the ParkZone email today:

ParkZone brings the world of air racing to your local gym or park with the Ultra Micro Series Pole Cat BNF. Based on the full-scale Formula 1 racer, the ParkZone® Ultra Micro Pole Cat BNF blazes around the pylons, but is also capable of sport aerobatics and slow touch-and-gos. It comes out of the box with a red and white racing scheme, 4-Channel control, steerable tail wheel and removable landing gear. It also comes complete with Spektrum™ AR6400 DSM2™ receiver so you can fly without the fear of interference in as little time as it takes to charge the included 150 mAh Li-po battery. Designed with personalization in mind, the Pole Cat comes with decal options so racers can distinguish their plane as they speed through an ultra micro pylon race.

Key Features
• Easy to fly even for the intermediate pilot
• 4-channel control to handle all flight aspects
• Spektrum AR6400 Receiver compatible with any JR®/Spektrum DSM® transmitter
• 150 mAh Li-po Battery
• Removable Landing Gear
• Steerable tail wheel for easier ground control

Hi Chuck, from your video, it seems that pole cat is easlier to fly than sukhoi. Is that the case?

after i flew the Sukhoi, the Pole Cat seemed more like a Pussy Cat

yes a lot easier to fly AND recover from when you do have "Dumb Thumbs"

BUT! let me say this it still does heaps of maneuvers, at a good speed and then slows down to a crawl for when you want to fly slow

even though the new PZ UM release has been put back a week, i am still going to town to do some filming tonight at the indoors event, so will get the Pole Cat videoed flying inside, ready for your winter season coming up

so keep ya eyes on my YT Channel for that vid

cheers chuck

One is really fast and could be a handful for a beginner, the other would be a better choice for a less experienced pilot. It would be a good idea to specify your flying skill and any other airplanes you own or have flown before.

Micro float kit? Look at Jin's plans for the floats on the Champ. He's got the plans posted and they are right on in design and work really well.
