Well done, now you can fly it till it it's worn out...and you've learnt things that will make your next build even better

don't worry I will fly it until it's dead And the names I have are "the flying brick" or "the lead sled" which one do you think is better.

And here is a link to my next school project home brew.

Neither they are to commonly used. You need something more personal for your achievement

CM2 = combat man 2m
SX2 = southern cross 2m
AB2 = Aussie slope 2m

That's fine Hallo, that is my last years project and on the maiden it flew really well apart from the landing. But now because I broke the elevator off the fuse boom I can make a new tail which is lighter so I can make the whole plane lighter.

Cheers Chris

In the end it weighed about 3 kilo's, so that's why I gave it the nickname the flying brick

Cheers Chris

I had an Alpina 4m that weighed 12 lbs and it flew nice at that weight, even in light wind. Guess weight vs w/s goes up expo.

Hi Fly2Bob, it is indeed heavy but it flew really well once it got up and moving, but because of the weight I can't fly it often. So i'm making a new tail for it to try and reduce the weight and make it a bit nicer to fly and try and fly in lighter wind.
Plus hopfully this year project which is on the other build thread will be lighter plus it's a bigger wing span so more lift. HOPEFULLY.

Cheers Chris

Yeah, I just skimmed the thread, looking at all the pics and such, and seems like you went a little over board on building it strong. But hopefully you learned that the aft section of the fuse could use a little more strength and the wing and v-tail, a little less.
