A slightly short round of LSO. Joe wiped out, Rick burned a motor and left Brian with a last man standing win.

Finishing out the day... A round of P Mono with no winners. Everybody was a DNF but we all liked the Polaris missile launch that Brian's DF made after submarining on the front straight.

With all the fronts moving through our area (seems like every weekend) we haven't been getting a lot of boating done lately.
Just for a little fill in here's a set of modeling mishaps I put together over last weekend. AKA "the oops files" Everybody likes bloopers

Hey Bill, ya know I have been looking a planes lately, found one I thought was a great buy on local Craigslist, i posted questions about it with pics in the plane section, they all told me i needed a beginner as this one is a 64" low wing 40's fighter plane. I have only flown a V tail $99 job which is only one dimensional as far as steering. Maybe you can take a peek at that plane, its real cool IMO.

In this vid I like the Yellow pontoon that takes off nicely, has a great landing and then hits a brick! Yours?

Hi Scorp. I went and looked at attachments under your name and that looks to be a P-40 Warhawk.
I would tend to agree with the suggestions you have already been given. It might looks cool but a warbird is not something you want for a 1st plane. They tend to have a higher wing loading and are harder to fly than a sport plane. Like anything, there is a learning curve and with planes it can get expensive (and disheartening) pretty quick when you have time and $$ invested in building it then watching it splatter right after taking off.
I won't say that you are locked into a high wing trainer but would instead suggest something like the Real Flight, flight simulator. With it, if you have an oops it's as simple as pressing the reset button to be ready to fly again Visit your local hobby shops and see if any of them might have a demo set up in the store. Many in this part of the country do. Play with it a little and see if it's something you'd be interested in. I have a friend that spent around 40 hours on one then soloed his plane successfully the 1st time out.

On the yellow Cub with floats, that was another club member. I was just shooting the video for him. The silver and red jet that went in a little later in the vid was one of mine though. (wasn't much left of it either)
