Got a quick flight in today at E. Commerce, tested my p-47 with newly installed retracts, power 25 and 4s battery. Much faster now, unlimited vertical and the retracts are nice. The nose is heavy so I will need to experiment with CG.

Not too sure, but I am guessing 9:00am. I'm borrowing my ex's car so I can take all my planes (and some food/water) with me. Right now, I only have my little Red Arrow in operation. F-18 and F-16 need fans.

gent96,

Looks really good! That Gopro make it all seem so high up there. Nice work!
Id like to go flying there today if I can sneak out of the house.

Thanks, Rubs! If there's a will, there's a way, LOL! I found out that early morning flights do great for FPV and GoPro. But that does not mean we go early from now on, LOL.

Ok here's another one from Boyet's Trex 700N near crash.

Boyet's 3D and autorotation save of T-Rex 700N. (3 min 0 sec)

Restlessswind,

I should have explained my coment better. I was refering to your impressive list of past and present planes on your profile.

Grant line

Went out to fly, dead calm. UM's ran through a dozen packs. This guy was the only other flyer out there. Canopy must have been 50 feet. Seemed to me he was flying dangerously low. Ever seen him?

That is the first that i've heard about in Grant. Paragliding? Maybe we could swap places with the guy; he fly my plane and I fly the paraglider, LOL.

That paraglider (gotta assume it was the same guy) and his female companion were out there Labor Day morning. He made several attempts off that huge soil mound, but was unsuccessful, was not windy enough at the time.

He was obviously sucessful this week, How far did he go? Where did he land?

I agree, seemed like he would be dangerously low, and in line with that power line.

Looked like a lotta fun, Sorry, I could not make it out this weekend. Will try next weekend.

It looked like he launched just south of Grant line. He flew the perimeter of the fields. At on point, heading south he flew between the light standards near the intersection. Tried to get a pic of that but it didn't come out well. I was concerned he would get tangled in the power lines. You're right Compass, It did look like a lot of fun. Gent, I don't think he'd buy that swap. Happy flying folks.

Oh. Yeah, I went a little overboard there and thinned out the herd a little.
