My Fan didn't last so long...
So I have exactly 17 flights on the fan I bought a while back.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...highlight=64mm Anyway, this morning I was going to put a couple more flights on. Taxied out and whammo... the blades flew off the fan before I got up to speed down the runway. Any thoughts on what might have gone wrong? Seems a little pre-mature to have fan failure on a dynamically balanced fan unit. |

Your was a 3S setup if I recall, it is hard to say as there are many variables, mainly FOD getting into the fan unit, it could have sucked something in on a previous flight and caused something to crack and that crack propagated and failed on what would have been the next flight. Good news is it can be fixed easily.

The fan is $8, you can send the motor back and I will balance it for you with the new fan.
