HH Micros - What's been discontinued?

Stryker 180
P51
Corsair
4Site
Edge 300
Sukhoi
Gee Bee R2

Isn't there a big chunk of the HH micros being discontinued recently? I'm quite disappointed with the Stryker 180 being discontinued because it's such a fantastic little plane. I just wish the wings on these planes were built like the sukhoi because they would probably be a lot stronger. I saw a pilot flying a spitfire indoors and he had all kinds of tape on the wing trying to keep it together. It doesn't take much to put a crease in those wings and make them weaker...

I'm hoping that some of the planes that are out of production come back in improved versions.

I think they are transitioning into mostly AS3X. The GeeBee wasn't a very good seller apparently.

I would not be surprised to see a more scale-looking AS3X mustang coming out soon.

Clear canopy, thick wings, brushless, though with the Spit and P-40 being brushed, maybe not.

Naturally I'd like flaps and retracts but I don't want to pay $200 or so.

I think I might pick up the P40 Warhawk this coming payday, but I'd still love to get a radian pro. The weather continues to be abysmal here

My Gee Bee was ordered day one and is still NIB! I test ran it to see the AS3X work, stuck it back and haven't taken it out since.

I like it but our club field is grass and I was worried about damaging the CF rods on the bottom. Sure enough a clubmate damaged his, didn't notice and folded a wing. I have enough to fly so I keep it against the day I can fly off at least packed earth or maybe a paved surface.

Best guess is that Horizon doesn't want to carry a huge inventory and is cutting back and plans to introduce better models.

I'm thinking of planes like the Inverza, which seems a notch above most other planes in stock. The Carbon Cub was a disaster, which I blame on a sleezy outfit in China looking for a one-time profit rather than building a long term business relationship. I hope that gets refurbished with better tail feathers. The ones on mine are about as strong as toilet paper. I did have one minor crash due to a stuck aileron servo that began working again by the time I got to the pit area.

Whatever's going on I hope they stick with whatever outfits have produced the best planes so far and dump the sleazoids that screwed up the Carbon Cub.

You comments are well taken.

I made the mistake of buying two CCs because they look so good and have all the stuff like lights, flaps, ailerons, AS3X, floats, tow hook - have one with floats and one with landing gear.
They both had problems including, a faulty servo, screws that couldn't be removed or tightened, dihedral in one plane and a flat wing on the other, different COGs with same battery locations, lost tail wheel on one, and of course, the fragile tail feathers that get damaged just in carrying the planes.
These planes required more fixing and repairs then any others I have - and it wasn't all my fault either.

The addition of floats on one did allow flying all winter off snow.

If they bring out an improved version with sturdier empennage, better construction, more attention paid to getting everything "right", then I may buy a third.
I do have one of their latest - the Archer - attention was paid to detail and a well finished product. It can be done.

Agreed.

I also hope they do another twin. Ideally, a P-38 Lightning...

Why? Flyzone is making a micro p38 i believe... its not released yet, but they are making one.

Mostly because I want to use my DX7 without having to buy an Anylink. I'd also like to see working rudders, something the Flyzone P38 doesn't have.

Parkzone has done all the engineering with the dual ESC brick, reversed motors and props, and dual aileron servos. It surprises me that they have only done one twin...

If you really wanted a PZ p-38, you could easily do a conversion on the flyzone model to use a PX dual ESC brick. It wouldn't be hard to hook up dual rudders.

True. But it would probably be pretty cost prohibitive gutting a brand new plane, and retrofitting all the PZ guts.

Now if I could buy the Flyzone P38 bare airframe, and use my worn out Mosquito as a donor plane...

I bought the Flyzone Tiger Moth as parts from Tower.

I saw the P-38 at the WRAM show and it doesn't look like there is a lot of room for gear inside and I have to add that I couldn't stick an AR6400 into the Tiger Moth. It's grounded until I can find an old Vapor Rx I have lying around someplace.
