Hi guys!

I bought a FatShark Kit that came with this camera:

Camera Specifications:
- Lens: 3.6mm IR coated 87 degree FOV
- Audio: Left/right stereo low sensitivity
- Electrical: 3.5-5.5V, 60mA @ 5V
- Mechanical: high impact plastic, 15g, lens locking ring
- Imager: ¼” 420TVL CMOS, NTSC
- Termination: 5p Molex (IRC/Fat Shark TX plug/play)


Trying to open the view angle, i bought a 1.9mm lens (for security cameras) and installed on my FatShark.

The image definition is great, but the colors are strange. Tha black by example, looks blue on the video.

I saw that my 3.6mm default lens is "IR coated" and my new 1.9mm is not. Is it the problem??

Does FatShark Cameras accept ONLY "IR Coated" lens???

Yes, that's the problem. You need to find a 1.9mm lens with an IR filter.
All CCD/CMOS cameras have an IR filter. Sometimes it is on the lens, and sometimes it
is in front of the sensor (which is why there are lenses with no filter).

Hey guys, has anyone found a solution for this problem?

I have a Fatshark camera on order (pan/til kit) and my friend bought me a 1.9mm lens. I haven't received everything yet to test but I'm wondering if I have the same problem a smal piece of red gelatin filter will fix it.

you can try some video processing software (Pinnacle / Adobe Elements / Sony Vegas) to color correct it until you have a good lens.

Yep, pos editing filters probably works, but I don't wanna fly with that strong color cast on my googles!
