A "driver figure" in an r/c car...has it been done...?

Hi,

I always thought how cool would it be to build a 1/10th scale or for that matter any scale car that closer resembles the way a 1:1 car is... You know have engine contained under the front hood a tranny a rear diff... And a little driver figure with hands connected to the steering wheel!

Or is this too close to a "toy" thing to be considered an "RC Hobby" thing...

My point is with the development of micro video, you could mount a camera inside the car while running it and video'ing the driver figure "steering" the car around...

Anyway, just an idea and if you know of anyone who's already ventured down this path please, share a link with me.

i have one of these,its a action man 4x4 made out of metal,how does this guy get the car to go so far or is he closer than i think?

He is driving via FPV.
I would imagine he is using 900Mhz by the antenna size.
Also using UHF for control would give him miles of range.
