New Product
HobbyKing/????????? C-47/DC-3

Hobbyking's Stuart and Matt have now both talked about the new C-47 coming to HobbyKing in the next few months.
Staurt has alluded to a new brand coming to HobbyKing with bigger wingspans. Hence the title of this thread. When I know the brand if will change the title.
It has been mentioned by Matt in the following video, that it will come in a silver scheme and a OD green scheme. Both schemes coming with 3 different decal sets for customising.
Wingspan has not been heard yet, but looking at video and stills taken from the video, to me it looks about the same size as the Durafly SkyMule in the background.
At this stage not many more details are known.
Wingspan:-1600mm
Retracts-unknown yes
Flaps-unknownyes,split flaps
Power-unknown
Props-Counter Rotating
Lights-Wing Tip Lights and Landing Lights
Steerable tail wheel.
JN HobbyKing Tent (5 min 25 sec)

More details to follow!
I will update this post as more details come to hand!

Would be really awesome if it had retracts!

Took some pics of the C47 at Nall.
Looks to be about a 55" - 60" w/s. It's a foamie with retracts, split flaps, counter rotating props, landing and nav lights. They say it will come in 2 or 3 schemes, military and civilian. You'll have to apply the markings.
Stuart said that this was not the final version and that some refinements were still being made.
Hopefully a mid summer release.
I'm all for this.

That's all I've got on the C47. Now just gotta wait for the release.

I've wanted a DC3 for years. But I'm waiting to see the wing loading. If it's light enough, not only will tip stall not be an issue, it will fly like a DC3 should.

Like the sounds of this!

Been waiting for a long time for a decent DC-3, will be following closely.
I really like the decal options, would like to see a Buffalo Airways livery. And since your in developmental stages Stuart, hopefully you guys can refine the engine cowl leading edge the example is just way too thick and the canopy definitely needs some work!

I like the idea of the new large scale series, maybe you might be the place to see some nice multiengine ie; He -111, a Lanc, and a B-29 would be sweet, but Stuart a real deal would be a super scale flagship Dornier-24.
Look forward to seeing more!
