I like the larger size. Frankly my initial thoughts are 105mm is an odd ball fan size. I would want to see some good engineering in terms of structure, mechanics and materials for the stabilizer control, wing and stabilizer structure/spars, landing gear mounts and gear mechanics and the fan they hope to use. Each fan and each fan of a specific size needs a good selection of quality motors that will run well. The other consideration is what are they going to do ... a big floater with base model junky components or a more significantly designed platform designed to accept common sizes of quality components such as proven EDF units, component maintainable landing gear, good servos, etc. I like the size but having operated jets of this size and larger over the years I must say quality hard points, hardware and maintainability are critical for the model to last and be enjoyable (and not be landfill bait)

Pardon my lack of keeping up with every ARF manufacturer but who is HSD and what else have they made over the last 10 years for example? Thanks for the post! I wish them the best in this design.

Subbed. I really like how this is turning out.

I hope that HSD makes a 10 or 12S version from the start.

From the photos posted in the Super Viper thread, the landing gear mechanism looks like an engineering marvel.

Good news then. At least the fan is well flown. What are the specs of the fan? The landing gear shots I saw in another thread look promising! A jet of this size should be at "least" 8s - 10s would be nice for me, I like 10 and 12s in bigger jets.

PS Those guys are crazy flying off a busy street in the Super Viper final landing but what a floater!

very nice!
i hope the wings have an easy to remove & attach mechanism, otherwise i cannot transport it or the mechanism gets worn out quick.

looks promising!

The fan is made by ChangeSun. I've been selling planes with this fan for a while and I haven't heard any complaint about it yet.

Here are specs copied over from EDFhobbies:
ChangeSun 105mm 12B EDF Unit
- Outside Diameter : 112mm (ribbed section 114.5mm)
- Inside Diameter: 106.2mm
- Shroud Length: 70mm (with lip installed 79.5mm)
- Rotor Diameter: 105mm, 12 blades Nylon Reinforced
- Motor Shaft Adapter : 6mm
- Lip Diameter: 121mm
- Max Power : 5000W
- Motors required : 42mm outrunners with 6mm shaft (5mm adapter AVALABLE)

And the link to the product page: http://edfhobbies.com/index.php?rout...product_id=406

Best regards,

Gear and LEF look sick. Is there going to be scale airbrakes , or do I gotta do it myself? I already got an idea of how I would do it.

My recomendation: include the option to have a TV nozzle or be sold separately as an upgrade.

Look how FW nozzless are made to get an idea or even design something new/better!

From the J10 and the SV, I know the servos and gear is going to be top notch stuff. Love both of them, tough as nails and fly great.
