Jupiter Kwirl free download plan

Jupiter Kwirl is a depron autogyro with two counterrotating rotors on a central mast. Quick and easy to build, great fun to fly. Rudder elevator throttle control only, but it does loops and rolls and real wild manoeuvres, at the same time it is very docile and you can fly it almost anywhere. Credits to Al Foot for his great Twirl design!

There are some useful pictures in the video. You have to build two rotors, one clockwise and one counterrotating. The blades are 3mm depron with long skewers as leading edge. Here are some pics that show how to create the negative pitch and the rotor dihedral, which is important for the Kwirl`s flying characteristics.

Thomas has asked me to post pics of my build and the patterns I did for the model

The patterns are simply 4 x A4 sheets to print, you will need to glue a couple of parts together

Sheet 1. Glue the two stabilizer parts together before cutting out of Depron
Sheet 2 and 3. Glue the parts X .. Y .. and Z together before cutting out of Depron

Thanks for a great little model Thomas

It is just a centre line to help adjusting the Stabilizer and fin when putting together.

Thomas asked me to show some of the pic's of my model. I think its a bit rough and ready compared to Tony's neat construction method . Now I did not follow Thomas's construction method as I only had enough depron for the blades and tail feathers so I just used light styro foam as a profile fuz....not as nice looking ,but flies OK.
Happy Landings

What is the actual angle of rotor dihideral? Been searching for 3mm depron with out luck. May have to try alternative material...
