Double brushless V912
Wondering if you can help? Got a double brushless V912 going for my first flights, but I have an unusual issue where after doing a throttle pump, the tail motor stops working briefly as the heli goes weightless. I've tried Googling it but haven't thrown anything up.
It's a GA250 gyro, and I've mounted it on top of the servos. My gut instinct is that I need to Build a better mount, but any feedback/comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

Blade 300x conversion.
For a $13 gyro, they work great using servos on main motor driven tails, but for your application
I wonder if you will need a better one.
The tail cutting off could be normal if it gets enough rudder input.
Try reducing tail blade area to get the RPM's up.
You should also be able to make a custom mix to hold the tail at 5%, just to keep it
spinning for effect.
The DD variable pitch setups will give much crisper response, but I'm not ready
to tackle a project like that.

It's recommended to use the same capacity batteries, otherwise you'll discharge the smaller
one quicker than the other, larger one & it will start discharging into the smaller one.
A couple of old threads for ref;...
& this quote...
In parallel systems it is obvious why the battery packs used should have the same voltage. Current and capacity may not be as critical for a parallel pack but could cause the system to go out of balance when a lower capacity pack drops voltage before the higher capacity pack.
Not really the best idea, but usable.....sort of.
Steve, you might like to try rubber mounts of some kind.
I used some fairly thick rubber bands & they seem to work reasonably well.
The camera just "free - floats" under the chassis.
You have to experiment due to the variable frequencies involved.

hey guys what tail motors are yall running?
i have been having bad luck with tail motor on my v912. i just put a f45 tail on and its been doing great better than the hb dd tail that i had on it. but i have been noticing my hb main motor has been getting slower and today i found out the brush spring was on top of one of the brushes and i fixed it and man it feels like its brand new again. but i guess with all that regained power the tail was not holding at all and would hardly turn. i cleaned it with contact cleaner, didnt help, took it apart and what do you know one of the brushes was gone.
thats my luck i guess, fix one thing something else tares up.
i was really enjoying the flight today before the tail motor quit. with all the mods i have done to the v912 it was the best flight ever, with unbelievable banked turns, it almost looked like a cp...... wish i would of filmed it.
