Hello
I just bought a used boat with a RCMK engine and a 42" hull ready to go
Unfortunately, so far I am only familiar with the weedeater engines!

I am unable to get the engine to start!
I do not know how to prime the engine!!
There is no priming bulb?? like the weedeater and the engine does not seem to be getting any fuel?? I am not seeing gas enter the carb - I brought gas to carb in the line, but the engine does not seem to be getting any fuel.

I am used to a bulb-- do these engines not need a bulb??

I am not able to get in touch with the seller--- perhaps he closed the carb line???

What should I do --- order a carb with a bulb??

you dont need the priming bulb
Place your thumb over the carb pull a couple of times till fuel on thumb then just pull it up should start 1st/2nd pull
if it doesnt start place thumb over covering half the opening (acting as a choke in affect then pull again
This is how i start mine no probs

I tried once before to prime the engine with the carb covered - it didnt work

On your advice , I again tried a couple of times and it worked nicely!!

A few tips seeing how I own something like 5 RCMK's. Keep the spark plug gap at around .016" otherwise you'll be frying secondary coils The stock recoil starter well, sucks. Get yourself an Easy-Start type of recoil, either from Zenoah or the off-brand ones from Xippkits, Warehouse Hobbies or Gizmo Motors. Most will require a different motor mount as the hole for the starter pawl is larger unless you have a way to enlarge it. The Zippkits mount has just enough room for them to fit. It's makes starting the motor so much easier as it takes less muscle to pull it and spins it over faster. My shoulders are about shot and these babies are a blessing.
