Just rechecked my aileron alignment with a batt powered up. They were hanging down at least a cm from what is shown in the photos. I'm sure (hoping) that is the root of my problem- will retest

Yes mine looks very similar to your photos, I also experimented with the ailerons in various trim locations and with various C of G positions before I achieved hands off inverted. In your photo showing the aileron alignment, the ailerons are too high at the back edge, they need to come down quite a bit, the wing section is semi-symmetrical.

Thanks mike. Yes, I had mine down quite a big, as I couldn't decide what the profile should look like. I might out them back somewhere in between where it was and it is in the image

It would be a bit trickier to do on this but what I do on my Telinks is mark the centre line of the end of the wing and of the aileron to give me something to sight down. It's easier on the Telink with the centre hinge but it would probably still work on this with a bit of measuring to find the centre line of both parts.

Good idea. Yes, I made a mark on the rear of the wing, you can see it in the images, but it is a couple of mil above where ideally it should be. Just something to keep an eye on in the build. I'm unsure if it will affect anything, however, should I be unable to improve my inverted, I would consider just tweaking this to get max performance out of this plane. Oh, and yes, I didn't use the aileron as a sight and look at the end of the wing. That is another good step to include I think

Ok I probably don't have much off a chance to score an answer but here goes. I plan on cutting a slot for my 1800 mah zippy on the top off the fuse. Anyone using an 1800? If so can I get your measurement from the nose to where your cutout starts?

I'm using 1800 Nanotech's.

Won't be able to get a measurement or picture until later tonight when I get home.

But a couple or 3 weeks ago, I did post some pics of the battery location in this thread if you want to search for them.

All's I did was put the plane on the CG stand and then set the battery to the side where it CG'ed per the factory suggestion and then cut it out.

Thats awesome. Ya if you can measure and get back to me that would be great. I don't have a CG stand but if you can measure it let me know I'll go off at.

I would Strap it on first and get the C of G right before you cut. The C of G in the manual is conservative, mine is around 125mm now.
