Should work fine. Im using the NTM 3536 1400kv on my Penguin and it's a perfect fit in the motor pod.

The FY31-AP has GPS, Return to home and an auto circling(GPS Hold). It's also a flight stabilizer with some excellent features. I use it on my skywalker. $180.

The ArduFlyer Mega 2.5 from RCTimer is another good option. It's about $155 shipped.

I've been following this thread for awhile now having purchased a Penguin in early December. Due to the really poor weather in the UK, I've only just been able to get out and maiden her. I thought I'd do something rather different and do a narrated maiden flight video. I was also able to test my GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition for the first time. Thanks to all the contributors of this thread for the helpful info. Hopefully there will be some useful info in the video for someone just building and setting up their Penguin:

Open question to all; has anyone installed a steerable tailwheel on their P? I like to takeoff, land aand taxi at our field, and this would help immeasurably.

Alternatively, how well does the P track on takeoff with just airflow over the rudder, a la a WW1 skid tail dragger?

Mines enroute, so I'm planning for the build.

Looking at the stock tail wheel setup I doubt there is enough room to get the wheel to move without scrificing structural strength of the tail. I'm sure you could add one and remove the stocker.

I was surprised how well mine tracked on the maiden in dirt. Some rudder mixed in kept her steady and on track.
