Im running a 3s 3300mah main pack to power the plane and a 3s 450mah pack to power the video equipment.

Lots of brits doing FPV. Check out the fpv forum for locals near u.

Maiden flight after about 7months from putting her together. She flew GREAT!!! Wind speed was steady at 10mph. The 3in dubro wheels were awesome in the grass.

It's just that our regulations would not allow us to fly over such populated areas I believe. You must have supreme confidence in your equipment to do this and at such a range. I'd hate to have to sort out a landing site!

AsSoulsDream, Congrats! It was a smooth maiden but the taxi-in after landing sure turned out to be a nail biter! Seemed like a nice, breezy day with a gorgeous sky as a backdrop for your C-47. Like it says on the Skybus box, here's to many more "Relaxed experience happy flights."

I bought the Andre Kochanski (formerly AskaLoon) designed landing gear from Shapeways. The brown truck is set to deliver later today.

I'm looking for suggestions on how or where to connect the (retract) servo linkage. It will not use a servoless retract to operate.

Any thoughts/suggestions my friends? Here are some pics Andre put up that help illustrate all the moving parts. I should probably re-read Bettsmum's posts on his and see if has somethig similar that could work.

excellent choice

I connected a 180deg servo with a servo horn and a torsion 3mm CF rod. but you can also attach a mini servo per unit directly to a much shorter torsion rod.

If you need additional info iŽd be glad to help.

Andre, do you have any pics to show where the control rod is connected? When you say 3mm torsion rod, do you mean the control rod that connects the servo to the struts?

I saw bettsmum connected his servo to the inner strut as shown in the pic below.
