Now using ICE Lite 50
I decided (possibly correctly) that the 45 was a bit marginal for this - so I picked up a s/h ICE lite 50. I have just logged a couple of typical flights (lots of loops, flips, rolls etc.) plus in this case quite a few full power climbs.
Average amps 11amp, max 53,1
Max temp 168F
The max amps was for less than 1 second - is this OK ?

With Helis it is common to see very quick peaks and sometimes over the current rating of the controller.
We always recomend setting the current limiting to Insensitive and at that the esc will still protect itself - but keep from shutting down prematurely on very quick peaks.
What you are seeing is not a problem at all.
