the anti vibration is a must - trust me, my friend learnt it the hard way.

Does anyone know where to buy a 9x6 prop, 5mm shaft, in stock? I've spent the last 2 hours trying to find one somewhere. So far all I have found is an el-cheapo from hobbyking and a "slim" graupner 4.8mm.

I'll be running 3S on the ritewing motor. I understand I might be able to use 10x5 as well, giving up some efficiency?

Get the 10/5 to 10 7 for 3s anything smaller on 3s will make for hard launches.

In my opinion 4s is really the way to go , it gives you killer power and eff over 3s, plus its way easier to launch and fly.
Then you can also go 9/5 9/6 /9/7 , I have seen some peopl go 10/5 and 10/ 6 , but be carful with the amp draw.

If you go 3s you usually add a bunch of weight to ht cg , why not use the higher cell count instead of dead weight.

Another quick vote for the '3S posse'... I use a 1100kv motor with a 10x7 prop on 3S and again it launches and flies effortlessly. The batteries last for AGES and I can still whoop my friend with his electric Spitfire in a drag-race!!

I can't be doing with folding props any more though - fixed props all the way for me.

Yup, I've yet to workout a single positive of using a folding prop on a ZII.

More aerodynamic when gliding, sure, but how many folk glide their ZII and for what % of the time? IMHO, concerning yourself about an aerodynamic prop when gliding seems a bit superfluous when you have a brick of a GoPro strapped to the nose too.

Thanks for the links Sharonx!

So has anyone managed to squeeze RVOSD into rear compartment of a zep2? I wanna leave my lipos up front.

The 10x7 is APC, so that's fine (and what I use) - I can't comment on the 10x6 though.

Have you broken any fixed props on landing?

refer to the build instructions, you can find them on the at the rmrc site... on the zii page,

flat, light colors, bright colors, fusion all in light coats

that is about 3-4 light coats of paint on each color
