You've done a great job so far. Finish and experience a treat that only flying model airplane builders get to experience - seeing something youv'e built with your own hands rise from the ground and respond to your transmitter commands. It's a great feeling. That big bird you are building will give you lots of enjoyment when you get it completed, and your building skills will amaze many at the field when you hear things like - wow - she built that? She did a great job!

Enjoy the ride...

This is just my opinion, but I would let Ashley and her father work at their own pace, without any urging from us in the Peanut Gallery.

This is supposed to be fun. The urge to build comes and goes. When they get the urge, the build will resume. If it doesn't , it's THEIR choice.

I agree-Ihave a couple of dormant builds, myself..As much as I love those planes, I will not "force" myself to work on them...Where is the 'fun' in that?

One day the urge will return, and the fun part will also.

Tom,

Your opinion is very valuable and I endorse it.

I hope all participants know the difference between encouraging and urging.

So the Discover Aviation Days is the first and second of June this year. Do you plan on going again this year? I will be there, hope you can make it. Jeff

It's a problem that's difficult to deal with.

We grew comfortable visiting with dad and daughter, but sometimes interest wanes, or "life happens", and threads fade away.

They have been invited back, both publicly and privately, so we mustn't bother them.
But it causes you to wonder whether we pressured them too hard, or made comments that shouldn't have been made.
There were some sharp tongued exchanges which contributed nothing to the build, and I wonder if that had any bearing on the decision to cancel ?

HI!!!!

Without going into details, I am at fault. I had some personal problems I was struggling with. I had to walk away for a short time to deal with them. However, I have had a lot of help from doctors and friends. I am not better 100%, but I am feeling a lot better than I have for at least 20 years...

I am so sorry that this happened, but it really had to happen.

So... We are back. And Ashley and I are ready to get this airplane in the air and pick up where we left off... sort of. A little more work has been done.

Weekends will pretty much be the time we can finish it up in. I'd like to see it in the air by the end of the month, but we will take it as we go!

You guys are all amazing and nothing you have done has created this gap. I apologize to you for that, and to my daughter Ashley who has been very loving and patient with me through this whole thing.

Tomorrow is Saturday, so I would expect some pictures late night tomorrw!

Looking forward to it!!!! Till then!

Brian

I certainly hope to be there with Ashley, Ashley's finished Telemaster, my Super Kaos (if it survives the Pattern Primer ) and potentially a Blue Jay Dirty Birdy...
