Excellent Customer Service from SMM

While visiting Skip Miller Models we were running an errand; an illegal alien made an illegal left turn and my DLG hauler got crunched. Skip jumped out of the car and ran to the shop to get a roll of Duck Tape.

He made the emergency field repairs so that parts wouldn't fly off during launch (my drive home to Golden).

I forgot to have Skip autograph his art work

The Sunday Open Contest has been postponed (sorry, guys) until Saturday the 19th...all the RMSA crossover pilots are now expected to attend the Saturday DLG Contest (tomorrow) since you won't need the rest day, right? Last local contest before Blue Skies Over Colorado . http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2075060

Please let me know today before 6 PM! The matrix gets built and the score cards get printed this evening!

Cool Jim! Adding the Prez....back to 14. ... Edited the roster post above... I think this is a new record for an RMSA club DLG event!

We will have cinnamon rolls, lemon rolls, Orange juice and coffee for your consumption in the morning. Try to contain yourselves.

The Saturday forecast has continued to improve, but Saturday night wow!

Charge those batteries.

Hey Colorado RMSA Wingnuts thanks for coming out for a great day of flying! First of all congrats to Jon Padilla for flying the Stream to the podium! It was a close finish again...it seems to be the norm these days...Our condolences to Dale T and the Snipe. Dave and Ira fly better "tired" (round 8)...for some reason they wanted the contest to end after 7 rounds, then proceeded to fly their best!

Dave thanks so much for your assistance with the F3K Master! The contest ran great (thanks Adrian D!) The F3KM program has improved hugely and it is a distinct pleasure to have that and Oleg's F3KScore program to put together an F3K event with ease!

We had 14 pilots...a new record! Blue Skies Over Colorado is on the horizon now and we're bound to set more records! Keep up the great flying guys and make the Blue Skies attendees work for every point!

Special thanks to Chief Scorer Denise for her help with tabulating the scores! Stand by for individual round scores after dinner! Denise says Hi!

John

Hey guys - thanks for a great contest. It was well run and fun...
I learned a lot:
1. Land in bounds... Two great flights zeroed, one because I did not pay attention at the pilot meeting and one because I learned that the DLGs don't come back like the big planes..

2. Pay attention to the task... With 2 decent flights on a last 2 task you don't launch again.. It worked out and I actually improved but that was not smart...

3. Launching needs a LOT of practice - technique is everything and I am nowhere near competitive...

Thanks to my buddy Jon P for mentoring me and I'm sure it was my timing that put him in first place..

I wish I had more time to do more events but it is all about priorities...
Thanks again guys...
Jim

Looking out the window today, makes yesterday a very pleasant memory. Had a great time at the contest. Many, many thanks to everyone who threw for me yesterday. It was really good to fly again. Look forward to many more.

You folks are the greatest!
