Someone else mentioned building this plane with hxt900s, which I've also used and thought were pretty awful (but they're cheap). If these are really as good as the hyperions, they'd be worth the price you're asking, but they're still twice as much as HS-55s.

If you insist they're as good as the Hyperion servos, I'll give it a shot and order four of them.
The HS-55 is cheaper, but you will be replacing gear sets on them. If you look at the HS-55 the wrong way the gears will strip, and the gear sets add up.

The Ion DS57MG is an amazing servo the torque is comparable to the DS09, and it has strong metal gears. It is an amazing servo that we are using in our DLGs, Speedos, and small electrics. We are going to be posting a sale with these servo and the Speedos in the next few minutes. Keep an eye out for that sale.

That flight was the test flight, so it was not set up yet. It was still amazing how well it flew with that bad of a set up :-)

I'm wondering when the US will join the rest of the modern world and convert to metric! It seems so archaic to be still talking in fractions in this day and age.

That's just it, we're archaic and fiercly proud of it!

Divide oz/in by 13.88 to get kg/cm.

22 oz/in is about 1.6 kg/cm.

Thanks for that. Now, I've either got to try and remember that conversion figure (near impossible), or find a suitable place to file it.

Thanks. That's a good figure for such small servos.

But if God wanted us to be metric, why did she give us feet?

I have about ten sets of these in different planes and I love em. Solves the gear failure problem with the HS-55 and digi to boot.
