I just could not live with the 7Z. Just took a little finagling, but I managed to get the 9B to work with my cowl and screw locations. Need to re-balance again as this motor is heavier yet. I think I am gonna wait until I get "Joe Pilot" installed first. He should arrive Tuesday. I would rather add weight in details than in lead... My graphics from Callie should be here next week sometime I'm guessing.

Fly it with 7 cylinders, then change to 9 after the first flight and enjoy the power from the extra capacity...

Just a suggestion!

Edit - Oops - too late!

Looks pretty accurate to me. Maybe a handlebar mustache would finish it off.

Not much to post tonight. I permanently affixed "Pilote Joel" in his cock pit. Rebalanced, well rechecked. CG was good with the added motor weight and "Pilote Joel" it balanced perfect. I had already removed .5oz on the first rotory install. Checked and set throws. Double checked all wing incidences. Stress tested the pull-pulls. Ran up the power system to check run ability and dummy engine / motor clearances. All good to go except still awaiting new graphics.

He came complete with a "little" mustachio.

I vote for providing the pilot with a scarf, a "lady's favor for a knight," made from a strip of tissue paper or cut from a thin, plastic grocery bag. The "fluttering in the breeze extending a scale foot behind his head will provide "just the touch."

I am extremely impressed with your work. You and gupi and Beaver have all inspired me to do much better on my build that I would otherwise have done.

Thanks for taking the time to share your build, I am grateful.

Thanks David.

I have done the scarfs on a couple of other builds and had to remove them due to the fact the fluttering noise would concern me in flight. I couldn't tell if I was having technical problems in flight or if it was the noise from the scarfs.

Graphics showed up today. Callie did a magnificent job on them. I probably did them no justice with the application of them though. Funny, I can put vinyl graphics on large trucks but this little bird kicked my . I ordered two sets to compensate for screw ups, good thing. On the top wing I had to pre-cut to go around the controls. The second one I cut backwards...doh..
