Is the system powered by a separate battery, or from the RX? I have some RX powered sets but the brightness is on the weak side.

Is this the set? Those superbright LEDs usually pull a fair bit of power but if they say the RX can power them, that is interesting.

On my bird, I'm using a set of RAM r/c lights, powered by a single 9V battery. I soldered in a 9V plug & harness to the set. I just plug in the battery just before I plug in the Lipo. I don't have them assigned to a switch though. I prefer them to stay on. On a fresh 9V, you can see em' in broad daylight,

Speaking of lights, last week I was completing the wiring on my 737 and found out that the German light controller was internally wired with the positive grounding. Because I had build my model with negative common wiring and the many cables and intermediate plugs cannot be altered anymore (in the winglets and the wings), I am now searching for a light controller with negative grounding and provision for single channel sequential switching between steady nav lights, blinking beacon lights, double flash strobe lights, and landing lights. I already soldered individual resistors "somewhere" along the positive wiring (as can be seen on the build log of my 737 winglets. These cannot be altered anymore without major cutting and reconstruction work.

Any information or help is welcome to solve that problem.

Check this link

There is another link that will take you to the actual site that sells them. There are pictures that shows the product. The only concern is the amount of heat these generate.
