Well, Chris has gone and done it. He shipped the quad he built for me. The video, the photos, and the communication are excellent Chris. You make it very hard to be nervous about ordering from a guy on a forum!

The TX/RX are en-route. Batteries will hopefully ship today and I've emailed Dan @ DIY to see if they'll sell me some blades when they get more in stock. To all you guys out there that already have Armattan helis and are posting videos - thanks. It's on thing to watch Chris gunning around doing mega flips and twists. It's another to see other folks on here flying all sorts of styles and skill levels and see that I might stand a chance against this insane machine.

Do you plan to create a FPV version of your Armattan quads? I reckon it would be a killer to have that!

I'm a bit reluctant to order a quad from you as I am more an FPV pilot than an acrobatic one. Still considering to get one from you though

Have you guys ever lost a prop (failed in air)? I had one come apart on me today at the field. I was in mod. fast foward flight when the rear left prop let go. It only lost one blade, directly from the hub. It was a bit tricky, but I managed to land it without any damage. Whew...

Threw two new props on and back in buisness. I run the same props that Chris runs.

Oh, to update... It still rolls to the left on pull out. I believe the left rear motor is a bit weak. So I will replace it and go from there.

Thats odd. Never seen that happen. Maybe it was already damaged or maybe a defect from factory.

I think it was a defect. I have not even bumped the props. I do have several colors that I purchased from himodel. They seem to be fairly well balanced, with exception to the black. The ones I have are terribly out of balance. That may have been it as I was in a fast forward flight and beating on the quad pretty hard when it let loose.

Are there some high quality props out there for these, or does it not really matter?
