The way I did it was to remove the battery connector and then solder a JST plug to the + and Gnd where the battery terminal was. It works great and is easy to do. Details and photos here:

I bought it from this eBay seller:
http://myworld.ebay.com/sweetheartst...84.m1439.l2754 It seems like there are several different Xexun clones. That would explain why mine works directly on the battery terminal and iacei's one does not. It probably needs a specific resistor load to register that the correct battery is connected. That is what the 3rd pin of the battery terminal is for. I'm guessing you can measure the resistance between the battery's center pin and Gnd to see what the resistance is, and put a similar value resistor on the tracker between the center pin and Gnd. Take note that I'm guessing, so don't take my word for it. |
