Glad you got to fly today. Glider sounds like fun. My planks haven't seen much action lately unfortunately.

Our club flying field has a separate field just for helis so both can fly at once.

Hope your repairs go well. I've got no repairs right now for my DD's but my X3V needs some work. I might get to it this week but wouldn't bet on it.

Repair is done. Once l/g is mounted DB D's will be flying. JB weld is very strong but takes a long time to cure. I have a Master to check out. Its not broken or damaged. It was my friends and in haste make a few mistakes.
Once I get to it I'll geter straight. Then offer it forsale. I have bunch of spares for Master also.
The Master is fine flyer but I have two V200D03's/ plus a moded Blade 300 X. I may sell one of V200D03's. The DB D's spoiled me on 450 size.
Even fly-bared E-Razor 450 flts very well. All are smooth and fly well.

JB Weld is awesome. Used it on Motorbike fairings as well as helis. Just have to let it cure.

I forgot to mention in the 1 flight I had with the 01 on Sunday I was hovering tail in about 15 feet in front of me when a huge gust blew it backwards directly to me. Surprised the crap out of me. Managed to get it down to around 5 feet and had to move swiftly to my right to avoid it then managed to land it about 5 feet behind where I'd been standing.

Scared the crap out of me but dad said I controlled it well given the wind. His annonometer measured the gust at 83kph.

Went in and flew my Nano QX. May have had a small whiskey to calm some surprised nerves!

Here in Tucson we get hit with mini tornados. I was flying outside and my neighbors car port roof was ripped off 75%. I seen this sheet of sheet metal flying through the air. I knew what it was and landed fast. Put heli inside. There is little warning till they hit. Sometimes you see dirt make a funnel.
Well V450D01 V2 is getting close to 250 flights. D03 will be close to 200 at end of month. Parts replaced ..none. Parts fixed one set of L/G. Oh forgot $.016 one pair of start lock washers for D03 motor..whew !! man heli is expensive to work on ..NOT.

Gotta love those memo missing Walkera helis!

I'm up to almost 100 flights with my 03 and about 70 with the 01. Master CP is nowhere near that yet but flying nicely.

My 03 is absolutely stock standard out of the box. 01 is slightly modded and differently tuned. I've wondered about getting some spares in for the 03. Probably should when I can.

The WK 6 axis FBL units work fine. Mini c/p bl/ V120D02s/ Master c/p V450D01/ D03 etc. Those who do not like 6 axis don't but a heli that has them. I fly a fly-bared 450 and it has 3 axis gyros and no problem. I like my DD's just the way they are. The memo about being bad was never recieved or just ignored !!

Came over to D01 as D03 is a little warm. Bargain Bennies like to put cheap toy servos in D03 as they find WK M/G servos over priced. I think $12.00 for m/G servo is pretty reasonable for hobby grade replacement part servo. Plus you don't need to butcher a frame to install clone thingys.
Summer heat here in Desert is a serious deal. I cut back on time per flight and sure helps thoses batteries. When Sept. gets mid-way things start to cool off nicely. I will have my helis/ foamies 3 d's/ other park flyer planks ready to go. Plus glider Fleet. Nothing high value but all good solid flyers. Hey I rather flys then spend time making junk fly.
For the Record V450D01 V2 is pretty decent heli for $$. Serviced on regulat basis/ checking it over and not beating heli yeilds a pretty good flyer.
