Great Pictures of Full Size - Our inspiration

Something a little different. Have pics of planes that provide inspiration?

My dad and I were turnin six it was awesome pretty quick. It never got to use rockets or turbines. Great flying while it lasted. We have a video of it having a midair it looks like a SAM missle.

Cheers,
Brad

Special thanks to Larry Dustman

I'm a genuine aviation nut.
Can honestly say I don't remember a time in my life when I haven't wanted to be involved in aviation, and specifically flying. I've since learned that the world is a very small place within the aviation community; knowing the right people and making good friends can lead to some pretty cool opportunities.

These are pics from my first flight in a PT-17 Stearman.
Not too many people my age can say they've actually flown a warbird... Flying these pieces of history around is truly an experience unlike any other

I have a couple shots of that particular PT-17...

In the group shot it is the plane at the far right side of the shot.

A very cool new place, close to home!

Sedona Airport in Sedona, AZ (duh), is arguably the most scenic airport in all of Arizona.
I went there a few times during my pilot training, and very much enjoyed their on-field restaurant. I was VERY bummed a few years ago when I heard that said restaurant had CLOSED!!! But was very excited recently to hear that their NEW renovated restaurant just had it's Grand Opening!

So I decided to take my girlfriend there for breakfast
Very nice new restaurant. It's a casual/up-scale type restaurant with the usual choices for breakfast: eggs, omlettes, pancakes/waffles, etc, plus some pretty unique choices!
The dinner menu looked pretty enticing too... fresh local trout, smoked salmon, various steaks and other meat platters... I will have to have another trip up there for dinner at some point.
If you're ever in Sedona and need a nice place to relax and eat, I highly recommend Sedona Airport's Mesa Grille.

A great day. I paid for the video of the flight but loaned it out to someone and never got it back. Anyone here have that video? I want to convert it to digital.
