Individual settings are just that, it depends on your personal mechanical setup and your personal abilities, so it's really difficult to suggest computer radio settings for rates and exp, what works for one person could be a fatal crash for someone else.
Thanks Doubletap, that helps a lot.... What COG are you and OTHERS using with a 2200 battery and no washers ???

I use several different 2200 mah 2S but use mostly these 2:

I also use a HobbyWing 30 ESC, and my bixler without washers, balances right around the middle of the wing rod covers, and it flies just wonderfully at that CG.

Hey guys,

Took the Bixler out flying on the 4th of July. Camera clipped to side of my cap.

bixler july 4th (30 min 1 sec)

bixler july 4th 2 (20 min 6 sec)

Pretty boring to watch but it was fun flying. Over 30 flights now with no problems or crashes, knock on wood.

Donnie

motor help...

Can someone tell me WHY the motor shaft in the Bixler came loose inside the motor.? The shaft slid back into the motor and is free spinning. I can pull it back out and the motor will run, but the shaft slowly slids back inside and won't spin the prop. Is there an E-clip inside the motor that came off or broke ? The plane did not crash, it just came loose doing while flying ?????????

If I recall mine did the same. There was no clip on the end, of if there was it must have come off.
I dumped the motor and replaced it with a 1400kv that I had in stock.

Stumbled on this new source of Sky Surfer/ Bixler, good price also for USA seller. Toysonics has the Sky Surfer w/ brushless motor for $49.99:

YES, I did the same thing. I put in a POWER ZOOM 400. Much more aerobatic. Thx for the suggestion. I used the same [original] motor mount. Did not need any trim !!!

Same here. The Power Zoom 400 from HeadsUpRC is the perfect motor for the Bix. It fits the existing mount and supplies much more power and reliability.

Привет ребята, бикслер продолжает летать без мотора.
Bixler на Планерной горке тоже летает (4 min 5 sec)

Bixler slope soaring (2 min 12 sec)

Cut the engine and fly on the slope, Bixler very good glider.
BIXLER slope (2 min 45 sec)

Bixler as three channel?

I know this question has been asked before but I can't find the answer. Can the Bixler be configured as a three channel. I.e. only rudder and elevator? If so, does it fly ok?
Thanks
Don
