GWS stopped making larger gears??

Hello,
I was just looking at all the GWS motors, and I noticed that they dont make the C and D gearing for the EPS-300c. Why did they stop making the larger gearing??? -Patrick

Where exactly are you "looking"? I noticed they are out of stock in several locations, but does that mean they are being discontinued? If so, that's going to cause a lot of problems for us folks who like virtical performance on the cheap!

Mr. Lin, say it ain't so!!!

Since the larger gearing is still being delivered with new GWS aircraft kits, and since people need replacements from time to time, I seriously doubt that they aren't making them. There are plenty of vendors that carry GWS replacement parts. They certainly couldn't all be out of stock. The fact that some places are out of stock just shows how popular these parts are. Mr. Lin is too shrewd a businessman to stop making things that are selling well.

Obviously, the place to post a question like this is in the GWS area of the Vendor's section.

I was just saying this because Aeromicro, close to the largest GWS distributor doesnt carry the C and D gearings for the EPS-300c. -Patrick

I just picked up a few "D" gears for the 300 series gearboxes from http://www.allerc.com/. I've dealt with David for a while now and he's great.

Perry carries the "C" spur (it's listed in the dropdown box), but has been out of the "D", like everyone else. Got some "C"s from Aeromicro a couple of weeks back, and some "D"s from: http://www.parkflyermotors.com/ -thumbs

Could someone with both the 300 and 350 motor confirm that these have the same case size, just have different windings?

The 350 motor fits into the 300 gearbox. Same case, different windings.

I've tried.

Looks like that motor is kind of lame. More RPM more Amps less thrust.
I think I will stick with the old motor.
