Hi guys,
I received my hobbyking bixler FPV mount today (I trashed my one built from ilovefpv's design in a crash)
I am going to draw it up in cad tonight so I can rebuild it easily if I break it.

So ilovefpv, I am basically asking your permission to upload and share it, as I know hobbyking got the design from you. Do you mind? If you would prefer I don't, then no hard feelings, ill keep it to myself

Also, Im going to draw up the pan/tilt frame I got.

What flight times are you guys getting with the SS/Bixler with FPV equipment? And using which batteries?

I'm almost decided on this plane, but would like to get at least 30 minutes out of a battery, would love to copy someones proven motor/esc/battery.

With a 2700mah I average roughly 25 minutes with conservative throttle use, my record is 27 minutes... On a good day with good thermals I imagine an hour + is doable... Some people use larger motors and 8x6 props to fly a 4400mah, but with FPV that gets HEAVY...

Ouch! Increase throttle on the way down, or was is acceleration due to increased airspeed during the dive. Looked like the throttle was still on . . mind you I don't think it would have made that much difference. How is all the electronics?

Yeah, bare in mind that I was looking through the main camera on the nose and had no idea what my problem being caused by. In hindsight, slower speeds reduced the wing flex. In the seconds before the crash I didn't know "airspeed" was my enemy.

After a few electronics repairs the only casualty so far is my PZ0420 board camera. I knocked some capacitors off and can't find replacements. Everything else seems to be ok including my OSD. Plane of course is toast.

Oh man.......that was awful. Feel bad for you. As I was watching that I had to pause, as there was a knock at the door. UPS man! Waiting on my Fatshark setup from Readymade RC. It wasn't them.......batteries from HK. Still, better than some crap the Mrs has ordered!
