Took advantage of the heat today and flew the glider, plenty of thermals to be had as the sweat pools formed. I still need practice thermal hunting the best I could do was about 10min without power on.

I finally got motivated and switched most of my R/C stuff to Anderson PowerPoles. Inspiration came from buying the 15/30/45 amp, TRIcrimp tool. I ran out of stuff to finish my MT and TR700. Another order to Mouser Electronics.

See the size of them 75 amp jobs.

No more Deans, EC3, Bullets or XT60s. No more adapters!!!!

Best 40 bucks I spent. I finished the job, by tossing everything. Reduced a lot of the clutter. I even found some stuff.

Have a flying buddy who is actually a LHS owner well before E-commerce put him under who made the power pole conversion and loved it. I haven't entertained the thought but to retrofit the entire fleet would be a project at this point. Like the idea , time limited.

Not the cheapest conversion to do. But when the time comes and if the housings/hoods are not mangled. Just contact replacement is required for new power or cords. No soldering or desoldering, no more heat shrink or melted disfigured connectors.

I had a small start for bullets. Micro Torch and seconds later it was done, not including heat shrink.

I got some new 30C power for the Revo. Darn wires are 8 awg. Butt soldered 10 awg. so I could use the A/P. That was fun.

Ah, another APP convert. Good man!

I just used a Deans to make an arming plug for a quad copter. Even for just that job I hate it, gonna switch that to APP too.

Been a fan of APP for years, couple of HAM guys put me on to them way pack when. I know a bunch of people who insist on soldering them, they just don't get how easy they are to work with with the crimp tool.

That crimp tool is a must buy, especially with the interchangeable dies for it that you can buy from Powerwerx now.

edit:
For those of you that don't know, McMasterCarr also carries power pole products, search for modular connector. Both McMaster and Mouser are usually next day for me, so it varies who I order from. We use them a lot on campus for our various power connection needs.

Got my crimp tool from H.R.O. Since I am a Amateur Radio Operator, I ordered from them. And for me they are a lot closer to me in NH. Than coming from the west coast.

I order my PP from Mouser. Think they have the best pricing for me.
