What product are you talking about, do you have an HorizonHobby or Spektrum Link to it?

We haven't discontinued a vario - we haven't released it yet.

There is an aftermarket solution (vspeak) . But you have to modify your TX to add a module to process the data.

vspeak and vario option

You will find my experience with the vspeak and vario module here within the forum. Am still getting good consistant results, but cannot wait for those nice thermal spring days when I can utilise its full potential. See at: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ghlight=vspeak

I reckon Spektrum have lost many users because it has taken so long to produce and offer a vario. I know this is the case in my club where we have a lot of glider fliers. Most have gone over to the Hitec Aurora 9.

That's nice, but not accurate. We never RELEASED it. Somebody put out information before they were supposed to, a couple vendors put it into their database, but it was never something you would have been able to get.

I'm surprised you allowed vendors of your products to display something that wasn't even launched or available. Those images (and there were more than a couple) have been around for quite a while now. Shouldn't they be told to remove them from their websites.
A cynical old soul may be tempted to think that these vendors are doing Spektrum's work as they hint at a product being launched without it actually happening. The result being that Spektrum users who may want a vario are tempted to remain loyal to the brand in the hope that a vario will be available to purchase.

"Somebody put out information before they were supposed to" implies that information WILL be put out so why can't you just confirm or deny that there will be a vario and some idea of when it will be available.

Honestly, Spektrum telemetry is a joke. The wiring mess and extra equipment to mount with the tm1000 or tm1100 and the lack of sensors means that if you want real telemetry then you want a different system.
