Best bang for buck

Hi all, looking for your opinions on the best bang-for-buck AMPHIBIOUS plane.

I'm looking for something that has retractable gear for water landings.

Must also be big enough to carry fpv gear.

The large scale Icon that HK did for a while would've been perfect but alas it is no longer available.

Another suggestion I've had was the Flyzone Seawind.

Looking for value, so not necessarily the cheapest or the best.

What other have you all got?

Hello stranger
Are you looking for getting some distance or for some low over the water proximity stuff?
I agree about the "big Icon" I would have gone for one of those if they were still available. Having read a fair bit about them though, showed they had their fair share of issues.
The Skipper XL I've just begun fpv-ing may fit the bill.
They are pretty cheap from Bangood and quite cavernous for fpv kit.
I am only on my 4th flight but am using a 4000mah 4s lipo which I reckon will give up to 15mins run time and more.
It will cover a hell of a lot of ground too in that time. They are so flexible too , you can "rip off" sand-grass-tarmac-water-you name it.
In fact you could use one of these for your original proximity plan , AND your "offshore" sorties too!
Whatever you choose , make sure it's still alive when I finally get down there so I have someone to play with

Look forward to that Hamish
Stick a Frsky module on your Tx and with an L9R Frsky rx you'll get at least 6kms. (in 5mins with a Skipper!!)
