matrixFlyer, can you check to see if the diameter of main shaft is the same as the main shaft on your wl922 hcp100?

Somebody mentioned the hcp100 head was interchangeable with the hcp100s, iF they are interchangeable then feathering shaft should be the same size.

I believe they said the pitch links or dogbone links are the same size also.

If for feathering shaft you mean the spindle it's the same dimension. I just asked to HiSkyOfficial if it's 100% the same. Maybe meterial changed.

V922-HCP100S spindle comparison attached. To me they look the same!

The official HiSky discuss anything thread

It's the same head as the HCP100 with one exception. Much stiffer rubber dampener. This is to allow handling of the increase head speed.

I have been running the 14,000kv brushless with the V922...and never had a problem with the feathering shaft. So it sounds like with my experience and HiSky's own testing, the original feathering shaft is adequate.

Also, there was somebody recently who said he runs the HCP100 head on this mCPX BL without any problem as well.

The dampners are the weak point on on hcp100. I coated mine in ca to stiffen them. Solved a lot of problems when running brushless.

Lots of differing opinions on the HCP100 feathering shaft, my experience with them on my 100's are they are one of the weak points, bent too easily and really made from much softer material than the V120d02s shafts which have the same diameter.

Yes

About the only thing I would check , before it went on my MCPXBL is that the threads are OK in the feather spindle, so the bolt does not pull out

Otherwise stock V922, and stock V922 blades

Agree. But I think the material has changed. Stronger steel maybe as I used to bend them just by looking at them but the last batch I got hasn't bent in ages and still going.

Hisky X-6S Transmitter Upgraded PCB for HCP100S RC Helicopter

I'm assuming this is the board James has been referring to in past posts, not sure if they are still going to give it for free to existing owners or if selling it for rock bottom $0.99 is the solution, can't really grumble at that price tbh

Hi guys,
I think the .99 is just to make sure that people aren't ordering them for the sake of a free product. We'll talk to BG to see if they can offer it for free perhaps.

Sincerely,
James

P.s. love all the videos and that at least SOME people are actually getting the heli before Christmas!

What's the advantage to the V922 head over the mCP-X Brushless head?
