I am going to go pick up this kit tomorrow afternoon at my local hobby shop. I have sever friends with full scale RV-4's. I am working on getting my license and I hope to build a full scale -4 in the future. Here is what my GP RV-4 will look like when it's done. This is a photo of my friend Scott's full scale RV-4 that he built.

You can go through my building in this thread (lots of pictures) and you can see that has some tricks in the building.
for me, the biggest down was the landing gear, but that's because I land in asphalt, I guess in grass will be fine..
It's a nice flyer, can go slow and fast (but no so fast as my Jackal..)
The landings with flaps are a beauty to see...

Any progress on the RV4's? I will be resuming my build soon as was caught up in flying, other projects and repairs. Weather is starting to turn cold, so time to return to the bench.....

With nearly 100 planes there is always something to do..

I just picked one up today. I am going to start building tonight. I changed my scheme. I have a friend that flies formation with me (I have a Vans RV8) and he has a RV4. I am going to cover it like his.

I picked one of the kit versions already built by someone they over killed the epoxy on the fuse and left in knockouts in the wing area so a lot of extra weight
BUT I had an old like new OS ringed 50
What a nice plane to fly !!'
Flys on rails and handles high winds very well a lot of fun
