I have a question about mounting the servos. WHich direction do you want the servo wires out from the servo facing? ie which directions should the servos face?

I've seen people set up with the servos either way. Is there a correct way and/or what are the benefits to each way. One way would require shorter pushrods the other way would require longer pushrods of course

I would be worried about the weight! Seriously... Add some strips of strapping tape top and bottom, and then carbon.

If you have strapping tape on the top and the bottom (2 strips will do) it can't flex either way.

In which direction?

I would forgo the CF film and use lam film , its a much better option.
Lam is more durable , its stronger , its easier ,its lighter.
Tape is prety worthless in my opinion.

Strapping tape is gonna show up Under the carbon cover and look horrible. Adding the carbon fiber over the lam is gonna add about 2 oz to the entire build and looks great. This is one built by Chris using the carbon as a decal rather then a wrap over the completed wing. Flys like a champ, OF COURSE!

Any pointer/setup you guys can give someone thats never flown a wing before ?
I fly with 25% to 40% expo on my planes. Is that to much for a wing ?

Once its down and the vinyl over the top, you would struggle to bend the wing without a spar. LOL!!

I have covered my Z2 with the Carbon, and you can not see the tape underneath, and there is zero flex - I have not lammed it.

I only have one pic so far - will get more soon.

So in this Z2 I have strapping tape over the spars, and a couple of other strips elsewhere on the wing - under the vinyl.

Once it's sprayed with 77 and stuck down - it ain't going nowhere.

Middle section will be red. and will hopefully get that down this weekend.

the point of using lam instead tape is it is less affected than tape in hot weather and the glue does not dry out and go brittle

of course more sparring is always good, especially when going for higher speeds
