The other SM carbon blades come out next month , they are 550mm and 430mm, Apache/Seahawk swept tip version is 600mm . eurocopter (round tip version) is 430mm . The 780mm are ready out market now !

Nah in the black hawk, im kinda overmaxing it, with 2 x 6Cell 6000mah batteries, but have just got a new set of hyperion 6 Cell 4200mah for her. lowers my headspeed a little which is good.

Jan, how did you achieve a center gravity with your batteries set up in the front so far when you had your heli out of the fuse. my heli is so nose heavy it's impossible to get a CG

Hi Buddy,

No I was not able to get a 2mm drill in this metal so I glued it with thin CA and that is holding.

At least the front crown gear from Align melted and no problem at all with the new tail assembly and the SM gears.

Of course it has not many hours (25 minutes I guess) but it feels very tight.

IS THERE ANY SECRET TO TRACKING 4 BLADES?? I had to walk away for a bit.

i just track them in pairs...remove 2 blades, track...put them back on and remove the other 2, marking where they are suppose to be, track again, now put the first pair on to make it complete, if you still have tracking, change the pitch rods in pairs..worked for me several times

Hello all,

I have flown the Apache today it was a bit dark but I was eager to know if the tail was holding now and what the temp of the gears where.

My buddy lend me his laser temperature gun so that easy to do.

I noticed that the head-speed of 1250 rpm was to low to have real power on the tail with this X rotor head.
So Its now 1350 rpm and the tail is responding crisp and just feeling good.

The temp on the gears is between 30 and 35 degree with 18 degree outside temperature no problem.
The Motor are 45 degree, battery's 43 degree (5% left) forgot the timer.
ESC 42 degree so sound all right for me.

was it a bubble, or a tiny resin inset that has been put there for blade balancing? mine has them too. still fly fine.

Im just waiting on my new bladegrips to arrive because the ones i have and the ones that were sent are two different sizes. thanks align! looking forward to making this. my apache is re-assmbled and ready to fly. just working on the new gun system now.

Definitely a bubble. It's extremely obvious and the other 3 blades are smooth as glass. They are sending me a new pair.
