New Product
AtasSphere: Atas Mini PDB Pro v2.0

Finding space for electronics has never been easy on a mini-quad. We have designed a new product - the Atas Mini Distribution Board Pro with all key components such as a LC filter, 5V and 12V output already integrated onto the PDB!

Easily connect all these to the PDB via servo connectors!
  • FPV Camera (with configurable filtered 12V/5V supply)
  • Video Tx (with configurable filtered 12V/5V supply)
  • OSD (with filtered source voltage supply)

User manual also attached below

Specifications:
  • 2oz copper full plate PCB
  • 3-6S batteries supported
  • 70A constant, 110A burst
  • 36x36mm with 30.5x30.5mm holes
  • Integrated LC filter
  • 5V step down regulator - 1A (pls ensure sufficient cooling! Else limit to 500mA)
  • 12V step down regulator - 1A (pls ensure sufficient cooling! Else limit to 500mA)
  • 5/12V switch for CCD board camera (filtered power)
  • 5/12V switch for video transmitter (filtered power)
  • 5V and 12V output pads
  • Filtered main battery voltage for OSD
  • OSD bypass switch for no-OSD setups
  • Shunt for OSD video in/out
  • Comes with right angle pins

Note: If you are using it at max specs, please ensure it has enough cooling. We do not recommend LEDs to be connected to the 5V and 12V outputs because of the large amp draw. We recommend using a Pololu instead (connected directly to the ESC pads) as it is easily replaceable if burnt.

Distributors and Dealers: * For dealership enquiries, please kindly contact Drone Matters from their website.
* We are currently looking for reviewers, if you run a Youtube channel, a RC Blog or other public channel, please contact us at sales at atassphere dot com

Note: below Video is actually a review of v1.2.

Revision Log
May 2015: v2 released (labeled 2.0 on bottom). Revised 5V regulator to 1A, added small "heat sink", put in reverse polarity protection for the 5V regulator.

Oh man, I wish this was in the shop last week when I made my order. Looks real nice and does everything I want.

I ordered the other mini PDB with integrated filter that drone matters sell. A very nice product but details on how it works are not clear to a beginner.
The diagrams for this one are very clear and easy to understand. I love it. I want it.

Have replied to all PMs. For the rest, you can email us at atas at atassphere.com for product enquiries. For dealership please kindly contact Drone Matters for a dealer account as we don't have the logistics capability to distribute so they are our distributor.

Some tips on using this PDB:
- 5V out is great for Naze32, even for powering a Mobius camera, and for Tricopter servos
- 12V is great for vtx, fpv cam, etc as the power is filtered

Drone Matters has a launch discount ongoing right now - 2nd batch onwards, it will revert to RRP. I'm not sure if they have a christmas promo or black friday promo, for that you'll have to ask them.

quick question. The esc connection points have holes in them. Is that just how the boards are made? Or should the esc power wire be pushed through the hole and soldered? or just soldered next to it. First time I've used one with the hole.

Most things you solder larger wires to that have hole in, the holes are there so the solder can seep into them and give a larger surface area to the solder connection.

If your wires happen to fit inside the holes though, I cant see why you cant poke them through and solder them in.
If you do this make sure you are still getting enough solder in and around the wires themselves for a good connection. Dont just tack them in there.

Looking at the pictures, I wonder if they did in fact intend to solder the wires inside them, and possibly from below. I only say this because the OSD voltage out pins will hang out over one of the solder pads if you use 90degree pins.

Mine is on the way
I am diagnosing damage after a crash atm, so I hope it gets here in time for be to put my no2 quad in the air before I travel over christmas.

Due to a severe lack of space for the amount of stuff we had to fit in there (5V BEC, 12V BEC, connectors for OSD, VTX, Cam, various capacitors of varying sizes for the LC Filter, etc) this was the best layout we could come up with.

We recommend either soldering the pins below if you have space, otherwise, solder the ESC connections below at the portion where the pins are.

Have you tested it pulling 3A at 5V running off 6S?
