Can anyone tell me if the 2.4 GHz trans that came with my lama is similar to the Spectrum brand and what version. Is it DX or DSM2?
I'd like to use this Lama transmitter with a BNF quad like the mQX.
Before setting up a lab configuration of TX, RX, battery and servos I thought I'd ask.

Your Esky TX will not work with Spektrum models, IE: DSM2/DSMX . I did however switch out my RX (it was 72mhz) to a EFLH1024 RX and bound my Lama V4 to my DX6i.

It took me a while to smarten up and go with Spektrum. So now I have 5 models and one TX. An MCX, Lama V4, 120SR, Champ and Super Cub

You don't want to use a stock transmitter with a quad anyway. To get used to it, you'll want to dummy up your settings by using a programmable transmitter like a DX6i. I always poo poo'd programmable transmitters until I got mine. If nothing else, I can fly 5 of my aircraft off of the one transmitter. They all have to be Spektrum receivers, though.
