This will never happen again

On Wednesday , at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00
in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.

That won't ever happen again.

Ok so it is not Earth shattering news , but still kind of interesting in an obscure sort of way.

I'm gonna set my alarm to witness it's passing...even though the 24 hour clock is just a placeholder invented by man IMHO it's still a once in this current space/time event

Of course, in the UK, where we put teh day before the month, and are on a different timezone, it will be somewhat later in the year, and earlier in the day..

It is not Earth shattering on this Wednesday because for the most people on Earth '04/05/06' is May 4th, not April 5th Kinda gives Bush more time to get out of the office...

Definitely! Time to blow the dust off that "When does the new millenium begin: 2000 or 2001?" debate. Did you party twice?

Jan 1, 2001. there is no year zero so the first millenium ran from the year 1 till 1000, second millenium from 1001 to 2000, third 2001 to 3000.

No, I am too old. A couple bottles of wine shared with a friend, carefully timed so I don't fall asleep too soon is my New Year's party.

Quaint as all these times/dates are, they aren't really all that special if you take a moment to consider this:

Since when does ANY particular moment in time--EVER repeat itself?

Every second of every hour, every day, every year is as unique as the last, or any other in the future. They ALL occur just once--ever--in all of recorded history, past or future.

Sorry to bust your balloons.

Worse still; they never stop existing, and are occuring (Existing) concurently.

We can't get rid of these damn "Special" symbolic reckonings of atomic decay.
