Rcx 2014

Hello guys this years RCX is coming up soon May 17-18,2014 http://www.rcx.com/.

Forest Melton of RCX (Sales Dept & Management) called me today asking specifics about what we need as far as space and what they will provide for us.
RCX will provide an unspecified space at this time for us to run our bikes. Forest said at this point he has two options an area that has a grass area that could be used as an oval track. The other option is a smaller space for a track setup, he said the space is not big enough for 1/5th scale. The oval space is bigger , but imagine two days of running on a oval track boring. I propose that we setup Dots for an 1/8th scale track and display all other scale bikes on a table for people to see. That way we could run all day long by ourselves and talk to people about bikes. The majority of us have 1/8th scale bikes and since space is limited it seems a better fit for us to demo our skills on an actual track with turns. Those of you whom do not have a 1/8th scale bike I will work to have at least one other bike for someone to run. I have a bunch of Venom Gpv1 chassis and parts if you want I will ship what I have to you so you can build one yourself. Please lets get a consensus on the oval or smaller track with turns, mind you I don't know how much bigger that area will be. Please chime in to get a discussion on these topics and also give and idea of how many will attend, thanks.

Hey Dwayne,
I'm with you on the dots and 1/8th (maybe because I don't have anything for oval). I don't know, what do you think will be more popular? Maybe we should go with what we think will get people interested?

I vote 1/8 and dots.

But it is highly unlikely I will be able to attend.

RCX 2014 May 17,18 2014

Hello fella's yes today I spoke with Forest Melton and he's looking forward to us participating in RCX. If you take a look at the pdf'd ( Floor Plan) RCX provided a 30x80 ft area, I believe that's plenty of room for 1/5th scale bikes. Forest informed me that setup is on Fri the 16th so he wants us to have the tables and canopies up on that day between the hours of 12-5pm. They will provide power to our area, no cars allowed on the site so you have to walk everything from the parking lot on Saturday. I will be there on Friday to put up tables and a canopy and also to map out a track setup. Also if you look at the lane left to our area next to the Rc on the map we have that space additionally that's an extra 20ft. Dots will be laid early Saturday morning, Kevin also said he would ask Stubby if we could borrow his Dots for the weekend. Gentleman RCX is providing us with a great venue so I hope everyone is ready for an outstanding opportunity to show case the RC BIKES!.

Great! Stubby glad to here you may make the trip I'm looking forward to the weekend. I have a good track configuration in mind for our 30x80ft section, plenty room. Everyone bring all your bikes we are going to have a display table, our area will be fenced. It will be like one of our Dots Weekend bikes on the track non stop plug and play no stinking cars!.
RCX WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!.

That layout looks pretty good. Maybe we should try to set up that layout before RCX just to make sure it'll work.
