Brookstone Iwear Video Glasses

http://cgi.ebay.com/BROOKSTONE-iWear...-/360300405122

Only $68 shipped. Someone said they work pretty good, especially for the price. I don't have the money for a really nice set, not now at least.

Should I go for it? My FPV stuff, minus the goggles, will be here tomorrow.

Do I have to modify anything to make them work?

Thanks,
Steve

Well, like I said, I can't afford $250 goggles right now.

It's either cheap goggles, or spend about $80 for an adapter for my laptop.

well what about these http://cgi.ebay.com/MyVu-Original-Cr...#ht_500wt_1156
and they are 640x480 resolution, i have just bought a pair as a second set to my VR1400, also they will be good for a passenger to see what fpv is like, also i would do the ski mask mod or make something yourself to blacken them out a bit

I don't like that they say that battery will have to be replaced. I guess it doesn't come with one.

Definitely something to think about.

I believe it has a mac driver after some searchs but I can't guarantee its going to work on all versions of OSX and so on.
Try "ezcap mac"
or "easycap mac" in google
Many of us use it on windows. It prolly works within VirtualBox and the like on mac too, but the reduced performance might be an issue.

That's what I'm afraid of. I think I'll stick to goggles.

Here's a video on the cheap, low res goggles. I have no idea what he's saying, but it didn't look too bad.

Lentes para ver películas y fotos para el iphone, ipod, pantalla virtual de 50" (7 min 20 sec)

I really wouldnt go lower than 640x480. Maybe some mac user will chime in, ezcap is really quite common and the cheapest solution by far, for decent (in fact, good) quality.

No kidding, I was thinking it would be bad quality and hard to get working properly. I'll look into it some more.

I did some quick reading. Seems the CD is pirated and a lot of people complain that it doesn't work. Then again, some people say it works great.

My laptop is a Macbook 13". White 80gb 06' model.

Should I order it and see what happens?

Thanks for all of the help.

320X240 isn't bad. I flew on it for quite some time and it seemed just fine to me.

The real question: Do these goggles go blue screen or not?

I see you are in Roanoke which is right down the road from me. I'm there quite frequently and could help you get set up if needed. Or you could come to my field too.
