Question
EXI 450 servo placement/adjustment

Aloha,
I purchased the EXI 450 about a year ago, and got a copy of the Trex 450 Pro manual. Just now getting to build the thing, but the servos are so different mountings EXI vs Trex. Do you know of any instructions that show the EXI 450 servo setup's? I'd kinda like to get this right before trying to fly this thing.

Which EXI 450? Download the manual for the T-Rex 450 version that your EXI has been cloned after. The Pro is very different than the other 450 versions.

Sounds like to me what you would be looking for is a T-Rex SA manual.

Aloha Sky-Dancer & ivanc,
Ok, sorta stupid of me not to return this thing when it had no manual. I can't find the sales record so I do not know which EXI I have, no markings other than "EXI Hobby". Have included some pictures, the big differences of the EXI and n the Trex's I've read about are the EXI motor mounts in front of the drive assembly with the motor on top of the frame, pinion gear down. The servos mount outside the frame on struts extensions, perhaps can be seen in these pictures. I did review the SA manual, and no match.
Thanks again,
Joe

Aloha ivanc,
Thank you. That is the closest match I've seen. This will help a lot. There appears to be sufficient detail that I could actually build the thing. The kit looks like there is a lot of metal in it, heads, body & landing gear. It came with case for $99 a year ago.
I worked for Commonwealth Edison from 1969 to 1977, downtown and at Zion. Lived in Palatine most of that time. Last time I was through there, looks like 100 times as many houses. I've been retired sorta have 1/2 acre of coffee trees on the Hamakua Coast. Only place my allergies don't bother me, except for the Vog.
Thanks again,
Joe

Hi Joe,

I live in Aurora, work in Bridgeview, fly in Naperville. I wish I could join you in HI and get rid of my allergies. I guess I'll have to retire first...

Sorry I couldn't be of more help but you are welcome!
